Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need accurate floor plans for compliance?
Accurate floor plans are essential to meet current UK fire safety requirements, including Regulation 38 of the Building Regulations 2010 and the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022. They provide clear escape routes for Public Information Boards (PIBs) and can be shared with Fire & Rescue Services.
What technology do you use to produce the plans?
We use Matterport 3D scanning to capture the building in detail, then convert the data into AutoCAD DWG files. This ensures every plan is precise, scalable and easy to update.
What format will my drawings be delivered in?
We supply DWG files for use in AutoCAD and PDF copies for easy sharing and printing. All drawings are presented on professional borders and can include your company logo.
Can you update or re-draw existing floor plans?
Yes. We can work from old drawings, sketches, or PDFs and convert them into accurate, fully scaled CAD files. This is particularly useful if your current plans are outdated or incomplete.
Do you only work in London and Essex?
No. While we are based in East London, our services cover the UK and beyond. We regularly deliver drawings for clients across London, Kent, and further afield, including international projects.
How long does it take to produce floor plans?
No. While we are based in East London, our services cover the UK and beyond. We regularly deliver drawings for clients across London, Kent, and further afield, including international projects.
Do I need a measured survey before floor plans can be produced?
In most cases, yes. A measured survey provides accurate dimensions of the building, allowing us to create precise CAD floor plans suitable for compliance, refurbishment, fire strategy, facilities management and construction projects.
